Be an Egg Getting Started Guide

Claim free size, learn the orb loop, and survive your first public server hour.

Getting Started

Be an Egg is a Roblox incremental io simulator by The Yoo Pt 2. You roll around as an egg, vacuum ground orbs to grow, crush smaller eggs for cash, buy skins, and bank size so a wipe does not erase everything. Servers cap at 15 players. Private servers are free. There is no jump button — movement and magnet range decide almost every fight. This page is your first-hour plan so you leave the tutorial phase with a real banked foundation instead of repeated zero-size deaths.

Claim free starting size before you farm

Before you grind orbs, finish the free size checklist on the game page and group:

  1. Like the experience.
  2. Favorite the experience.
  3. Join the creator group The Yoo Pt 2.

Completing Like + Favorite + Join Group grants +1000 starting size. That bonus is the single best free boost in the game. Skipping it means you spawn tiny while other players already have a crushing edge. If you have Roblox Premium, you also get 50% more size from Premium benefits. Stack both when you can — Premium is optional, the group reward is not.

Rejoin after claiming rewards so the size bump applies cleanly. Then try a free private server for your first growth session (confirm the Servers tab — platform flags sometimes hide Create even when the description still says free). If privates are unavailable, hop a quiet public instead. Day-one players often get crushed before they learn magnet routes; quiet rooms remove that pressure while you learn movement, orb density, and the bank. Details: VIP Zone & Private Servers.

The core loop in one minute

Everything in Be an Egg feeds one loop:

  • Collect orbs on the ground to increase live size.
  • Crush eggs smaller than you to remove rivals and earn cash.
  • Spend cash on skins for cosmetics and collection goals.
  • Bank size so a portion of progress survives death (default save is about 30%, with a bank timer).
  • Respawn and grow again, using banked size as your new floor.

You do not jump. You move, steer into orb clusters, and use your magnet radius to pull orbs without touching every sparkle. Bigger eggs often feel faster or more threatening simply because they control more space. Treat every unbanked size spike as temporary wealth until it sits in the bank.

First fifteen minutes: orb farming only

Your first goal is not the leaderboard. Your first goal is a safe size cushion.

  • Sweep wide arcs through dense orb patches instead of camping one corner.
  • Keep moving. Standing still invites larger eggs to line up a crush.
  • Ignore fights until you are clearly larger than nearby eggs.
  • Watch the magnet radius — pull orbs from the edge of your range so you waste less pathing time.
  • After a solid growth burst, path to the bank and store progress before you get cocky.

If a much larger egg approaches, turn away early. Fleeing is a skill. The how to survive guide covers flee timing and crush decision trees in depth. For pure growth efficiency after you understand the basics, continue with how to grow fast.

When to crush (and when not to)

Crushing is tempting because it drops cash and clears space, but early crushes can strand you in the open with unbanked size. Use these rules in your first hour:

  • Crush only when you are clearly larger and the target cannot escape into a crowd of bigger eggs.
  • Prefer isolated small eggs over contested mid-size packs.
  • After a multi-crush streak, bank immediately. Streaks create greed, and greed creates wipe highlights for someone else.
  • Never chase into a cluster of eggs larger than you just to finish one tiny target.

Cash from crushing funds skins such as Zombie, Noob, Cool, Snorkel, Bunny, Retro, and pricier options like Reindeer (around 15k cash in current shop listings). Skin rarity charts are still incomplete across the community, so treat prices as living data and confirm in-game before dumping a whole wallet. Collection is optional progression — size and bank discipline are mandatory progression.

Bank basics you must learn today

The bank is the difference between a fun session and a reset loop. By default you keep roughly 30% of size when you bank, and a bank timer limits how often you can store. Death without banking costs the unbanked remainder. That is why private-server warmups matter: you can grow, bank, grow, bank without PvP chaos.

Useful paid upgrades later include Ignore Bank Timer (399 Robux) and Inf Bank Storage (1899 Robux). Do not buy those on day one unless you already love the game. First learn the free timer rhythm. Full timer math, recovery after death, and pass priorities live in the bank guide.

Controls snapshot

  • PC: WASD or stick to move; no jump.
  • Mobile: on-screen move control; same no-jump rule.
  • Magnet: automatic pull in a radius around you — gamepasses like 2x Magnet (179 Robux) widen that comfort zone.
  • UI hubs: shop for skins, bank for storage, gifts/spins when available, and pass prompts for Starter Size, growth, cash, VIP, and Galaxy multipliers.

First-hour checklist

  1. Like, Favorite, Join Group for +1000 starting size.
  2. Confirm Premium 50% size if you subscribe.
  3. Start in a free private server.
  4. Farm orbs until you feel bulky, then bank.
  5. Repeat grow-and-bank cycles until your banked floor feels safe.
  6. Only then join a public server to practice crushing and escaping.
  7. Spend early cash on a skin you actually want; do not rage-buy every pass.
  8. Bookmark this wiki’s guides hub, tier list, codes, gamepasses, vs similar games, and scripts pages for later sessions.

Codes and scripts reality check

As of the latest wiki pass, Be an Egg has no known promo code redeem system. Check codes before you hunt social media for fake lists. Scripts are a separate topic with their own risks and policies — see scripts if that is your interest, and never share account credentials with random tools.

What to do in hour two

Once banking feels natural:

  • Practice public-server awareness: scan for eggs larger than you every few seconds.
  • Learn which map lanes refresh orbs fastest (covered in the grow-fast guide).
  • Decide whether Starter Size passes (+1000 / +5000 / +10000 / +25000) are worth Robux for your playtime.
  • Compare growth multipliers: 2x Size Growth (299), 2x Cash (349), VIP (399), Galaxy x100 (3499), and Premium Rewards (79).
  • Use the tier list when ranking skins and passes for your goals.

Be an Egg rewards patience more than panic chasing. Claim the free group size, bank early, crush selectively, and treat every public server as a risk-managed hunt. Follow the linked guides in order if you want a clean learning path from newbie egg to consistent top-board threat.
